Mozart

The great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg (but not in Austria) on January 27th, 1756. As children prodigy he and his sister Nannerl visited many important music metropolises in France, England, Germany and Italy. In his hometown he was responsible for the music at the court of the prince-archbishop of Salzburg. But as he was treated as a mere servant, he offered to resign his post. Finally, after a bad quarrel Mozart was fired. Do you know how? I’ll tell you more about this story during your guided walking tour in Salzburg! Mozart died at an age of only 35 years and composed more than 600 works in his short life.
